Running
DialFree
After installing
DialFree, you can run it from its shortcut in the desktop or
from the start menu. After running DialFree for the first
time, whenever you start your computer you will find DialFree
already running, but iconized in the system tray (as shown below).

Showing and
Iconizing
DialFree
If
DialFree is iconized in the system tray, you can show its window
by right clicking its system-tray icon and selecting Show
from the pop-up menu (as shown below).

The Show command
displays the main window of DialFree, while Show compact view
displays an always-on-top small window at the top-right corner of the
screen.
If the
DialFree window (main or compact) is shown and you want to
iconize it in the system tray, just close the window and this will
iconize it (this will not terminate the program). If you minimize the
main window instead of closing it, DialFree will be
minimized in the task bar, not in the system tray.
Shutting down DialFree
Usually, you would not need to shut down DialFree. But in
case you need to, select Shutdown from its pop-up menu (shown
above).
Accessing the online community services
The online community services are web-based services that can be
accessed only using DialFree. They include - among others - the online
school grades service.
To
access these services, follow these steps:
-
Connect using the default Connect button from either the
DialFree main window or compact window.
-
When
connected, click the Services button. This will start your
Internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer) and will open the DialFree
services site.
-
The
DialFree services site has links to all the available services. From
there you can access the services you want.
